This type of insurance would indemnify the assured against their legal liability to pay damages (including claimants' costs, fees and expenses) in the event of injury/sickness to a member of the public or damage to their property whilst on your property or away at shows and sales. This would include any injury/sickness or damage caused by your animals.

Smallholder's Liability

Public Liability

Limit of Indemnity �1m, �2m or �5m available.

This type of insurance would indemnify the assured against their legal liability to pay damages (including claimants' costs, fees and expenses) in the event of injury/sickness to a member of the public or damage to their property whilst on your property or away at shows and sales. Employers Liability

Limit of Indemnity �10m available.
This type of insurance would indemnify the assured against their legal liability to pay damages (including claimants' costs, fees and expenses) in respect of injury to any Person Employed arising out of and in the course of employment by the assured.

Armitage Livestock Insurance Agency has been established since 1987 and therefore has a long history in arranging insurance on farm animals, both in situ and in transit.
Having insurance on your animal will give peace of mind. However, the main reason for taking insurance is to be reimbursed for the market value of the animal, up to the sum insured in the event of loss.

When enquiring about insurance, the first decision to be made concerns the insurer or broker to be used. Although the maxim "My Word Is My Bond" is a little rusty these days, at least make sure that when you want a word, there is somebody at the other end of the telephone who knows what you are talking about, especially if the word is going to be "Claim".
