Armitage Livestock Insurance Agency Limited

We specialise in arranging insurance on livestock, mainly on alpacas, pedigree cattle and other pedigree farm animals.

To the breeder, having to pay an insurance premium is "lost" money. You pay out and get nothing in return, only a piece of paper. However, a good business depends on proper planning and budgeting. By incorporating the annual insurance premium into your business plan, you know the exact amount livestock losses are costing you, and you have cushioned yourself against unexpected subsequent losses of animals that could ruin your business.

TYPES OF INSURANCE

alpaca

We specialise in Livestock Insurance, including Alpacas, Cattle, Sheep etc., Mortality and Infertility Insurances, Worldwide Transits, Public Liability risks and Frozen Bovine Embryos and Semen in Transit and In Situ.

Armitage Livestock Insurance Agency has been established since 1987 and therefore has a long history in arranging insurance on farm animals, both in situ and in transit.
Having insurance on your animal will give peace of mind. However, the main reason for taking insurance is to be reimbursed for the market value of the animal, up to the sum insured in the event of loss.

When enquiring about insurance, the first decision to be made concerns the insurer or broker to be used. Although the maxim "My Word Is My Bond" is a little rusty these days, at least make sure that when you want a word, there is somebody at the other end of the telephone who knows what you are talking about, especially if the word is going to be "Claim"
